Job Shipping Coordinator - Columbia

We are Branch Office Global Outwear, Sportswear, Apparel, Footwear and Accessories We are seeking to recruit the following senior Professionals for Apparel 

Shipping / Logistic Coordinator 

Oversee daily activities of shipping department. Coordinates with production team to ensure that product is delivered on time from factory - forwarder - vessel - distribution center / customers. Able to quickly and effectively resolve problems, and implement preventative measure to avoid future issues. Work closely and coordinate with the Production Department, Merchandising Department, and QA Department. 

Responsibilities : 
  • Work with vendors to ensure accurate and timely shipping documentation and bookings 
  • Takes initiatives to explore and review opportunities for improvement in relevant shipping / payment policies and procedures. 
  • Able to lead / coordinate business process enhancement projects that are relevant to shipping operations (i.e. reduced leadtime, accurate documentation, timely bookings, etc.) / payment process. Coordinate with head office, business analysts, solution vendors, and factories to ensure smooth project implementation. 
  • Conduct status meetings and briefings to keep Production Manager informed of operation status. 
  • Proactively communicate with local customs, vendors, forwarding company, and shipping lines to resolve shipping issues. 
  • Process and approve the payment process using Trade Card. 
  • Ensure forwarding company’s operations are following vendor compliance guidelines 

Requirements : 
  • Previous work experience working in shipping or forwarder preferred. Requires at least 3 years direct experience with shipping industry and development and 1 year management experience. 
  • Possess strong written and verbal English communications 
  • Ability to negotiate production deadlines with individuals / departments involved. 
  • Proficiently with MS Word and Excel.
